Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 24, 2026

Runegate is published by ingle.dev ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the Runegate app for iPhone and iPad does with your information. The short version: it collects none.

What the app stores

Runegate keeps your game data on your device: your profile, unlocks, runes, records and settings, and the state of your current run. This data is never sent to us. It is part of the app's storage on your device, so it is included in your own device backups in the same way as other app data.

iCloud sync

If you are signed in to iCloud on your devices, Runegate syncs your progress (your profile, unlocks, runes and records) between them using your own private iCloud storage. The data goes from your device to your iCloud account and back to your other devices, and Apple handles it under its own privacy policy. It is not sent to us, and we cannot see or access it.

You can turn sync off at any time in Settings: tap your name, then iCloud, then Saved to iCloud (or Apps Using iCloud), and switch Runegate off. To delete the copy stored in iCloud, go to Settings, tap your name, then iCloud, then Manage Account Storage, choose Runegate and delete its data. Deleting the app from a device does not delete the copy in iCloud.

What the app does not do

Apple

If you install a beta through TestFlight, or install the game from the App Store, Apple handles that distribution under its own privacy policy. We do not receive your personal information through those services, apart from the feedback or crash reports you choose to send through TestFlight.

Children

Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either.

Changes to this policy

If the game ever changes in a way that affects your privacy, for example by adding online features or in-app purchases, we will update this page and the date above before that version is released.
